Pack 996 joined with Pack 997 from Live Oak in a Roller Skating Lessons and Open Skate event.  Scouts learned how to skate and then were able to use the skills they learned to skate the rest of the day!

One scout and his dad went to the Boy Scout campsite, Wolfeboro, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains for a weekend filled with fun outdoor activities.  Great friendships were made with fellow Webelos Scouts and parents.

Pack 996 Scouts and their families paid a visit to the Sulphur Creek Nature Center in Hayward.  They met up with snakes, turtles and many other reptiles.

Pack 996 had a fantastic time at the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco.  Scouts learned about different kinds of fish and underwater plants from two incredible guides, Jake and Emma.  Scouts were able to touch sharks, rays and sea stars in the aquarium’s touchpools.  At the end of the day, our pack was able to sleep right beside the fish in the tunnel aquarium.  In the morning, scouts paid a visit to the playful sea lions at Pier 39.

Pack 996 spent the night at the California Academy of Sciences. It was a great program with complete run of the place along with special treats like live animal demonstrations, planetarium shows, a telescope on the roof, earthquake simulator, penguins, and more.
