Webelos Scouts from Dens 1, 6, 7, and 8 attended the 2016 Webeloree at the beautiful Camp Herms in El Cerrito.  There were two sessions.  One in October, and one in November.  Scouts completed the following adventures Camper, Adventures in Science, First Responder.  They also got to shoot BB guns as a bonus! Cub Scouts joined forces with Girl Scouts to put up red ribbons to pledge to be drug free!  Scouts also picked up trash around the school when they took down the ribbons at the end of the week.  Great job Scouts!

Pack 996 had an enormous turnout of 58 scouts, siblings, and parent volunteers at this year’s Meridian Day Camp at Little Hills in San Ramon.  Scouts and their sisters in the girls unit swam, shot BB guns, shot arrows, built crafts, and much more!

Our Pack joined forces with neighboring packs 1776 (Coyote Creek), 997 (Live Oak), & 203 (Golden View) to participate in the Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade! Together, we walked through downtown Danville, waved, and gave away goodies to the groups of cheering people.

Most Cub Scouts celebrate Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a “birthday party” called the blue and gold banquet. Like most packs, our blue and gold banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer. 2015 Theme was “Star Wars” The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack’s anniversary, thank our pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the next set of leaders, Scouts, and parents. Our banquet is quite like a regular pack meeting, with songs, skits, stunts, and awards.
