Red Ribbon Week

Every year, Pack 996 partners with Quail Run Elementary to tie up Red Ribbons along the perimeter of the school in commemoration of Red Ribbon Week. When the week is over, we untie the ribbons and also clean up trash around the school. This year, we had a huge storm pass through the Bay Area right when we wanted to tie ribbons! Rather than reschedule, we chose to come prepared for the wet weather in our raincoats, snow jackets, umbrellas, and anything to protect us from gusting winds. Pack Bike Hike along Iron Horse Trail

We had our annual bike hike, riding as a pack from San Ramon City Hall north along Iron Horse Trail. This is a great opportunity to get some exercise, but also to learn about road safety, rules of the road, and how to share a trail that is used by walkers, runners, and cyclists. Officers from San Ramon Police Department joined us to talk through road safety, we then checked on our Six Essentials, before starting our hike. Some scouts made it all the way to downtown Danvile, while others stopped a bit sooner. We all returned to San Ramon

October Pack Meeting

We introduced ALL of our pack leaders today since we now have den leaders for all of our dens and we have our pack committee! Yay for parent volunteers! We played the ever popular Hungry Human Hippos, had 2 skits, and lots of jokes. All in all, we had a lot of fun tonight. Now that we have our leadership crew set, we’re excited to get some momentum for den & pack activities. Our next event will be the bike hike which will occur on Oct 16th morning.
