Welcome to Pack 996 2025-26 Registration Process
Fees
There are 3 fees/payments that each family is responsible for:
- Pack registration fees are used to sponsor Pack activities for the year. Early Registration is $75 until Sept 6th, 2025. After that Registration increases to $100 and is subject to availability in dens. Families are required to pay this fee FOR EACH CHILD EVERY YEAR
- Scouting America registration fees are required to log advancement and register your child with the national organization. For 2025-26, the fees are approximately $175 and is paid directly to the national program, not the pack. For new families, this fee is paid upon registration in step 3 on the left. For returning families, this fee is due on your renewal date.
- Caring Adult Volunteer Program (VP) deposit: each family is required to provide a $500 check made out to Pack 996 as part of their participation in the VP. This is PER FAMILY for RETURNING FAMILIES ONLY; families who are new to the pack are exempt from the deposit requirement. Deposits are paid every year by each family and are FULLY REFUNDABLE pending the family’s successful completion of either their hours requirement (15 hours for AOL families and 20 for the rest) or from fulfilling their Pack/Den office. The checks will only be cashed at the end of the year for those who do not fulfill the volunteer requirement.
IMPORTANT for parents of new scouts:
- Please make sure you finish step 3 on the left!
- Depending on the existing Dens available in the pack, you might be asked to form a new Den with other families and elect a new Den Leader. While the Den Leader does have additional responsibilities, ALL families are expected to participate and contribute to the scouting experience.
