Program Overview:

  • Deposit:
      • At the beginning of the scouting year, the pack will collect a deposit of $500 PER FAMILY for RETURNING FAMILIES ONLY- any new families to the Pack are exempt from the deposit for the first year. For returning families, please add one deposit to your cart (along with the sign-up for each individual cub) before checking out. 
      • Note: we do NOT want to keep your money; this program is NOT meant to be a Pack fundraiser: our goal is to refund 100% of deposits after volunteer hours are completed
  • Volunteering: 
    • Earning back your deposit can happen in one of two ways:
      • One parent may sign up for an open leadership role at the Pack or Den level (and commit to fulfilling this role for the entire year) -or-
      • Parents/Caring Adults must contribute 20 hours of volunteer service throughout the year
        • Examples include: Pinewood derby set-up/breakdown & logistics; event planning and organizing- including hikes, campouts, tours, overnighters; event logistics/set-up (campout cooking, cleaning, driving materials to/from storage); leading organized den/pack meetings; any ad hoc work for the Den/Pack that comes up throughout the year
