Cub Scout Den Leader Duties/ Responsibilities

• Complete all on-line training to be a cub scout den leader
• Complete any necessary live trainings needed for specific rank
• Must take Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Skills to take den camping in 4th & 5th grade
• Plan and lead 1 den meeting per month
• Related to working on an achievement towards the rank badge
• Plan and lead 1 den outdoor activity/fieldtrip per month
• Take den camping once they reach 4 & 5th grade to fulfill requirements for the Webelos badge
• Enter each scout in den’s progress in ScoutTrack software by monthly deadline
• Communicate regularly with families in your den to convey: scout’s progress to rank badge, plan for den to achieve rank badge, upcoming den & pack events
• Attend Monthly pack meetings (1st Monday of every month)
• Sit with your den and make sure they behave
• Actively participate & engage the scout’s in songs and pack activities during the meeting
• Attend monthly leader meetings (3rd Thursday of every month)
• Serve as an active pack committee leader to help plan & implement scout programs
